How to Make Blockland Add-Ons

"Blockland" is a computer game created by Eric Hartman using the Torque Game Engine, and first released in 2004. Players have no set goal or objective, but can manipulate virtual blocks, similar to Legos, to create buildings, weapons, vehicles, and anything else they can imagine. Once they've created their desired object it can be added to anyone else's "Blockland" game in the form of a zip file called an Add-On.

  Start "Blockland" and click the brick in the upper left hand corner.

  Click and drag any kind of brick you want from the game's menu into the play area. They can be manipulated by pressing the keys on your number pad, and placed with the "Enter" button. Continue moving and placing bricks until you have built your desired object, then save and close the "Blockland."

  Go into your "Blockland" directory and locate the file you just saved. By default this is located in "C:\Program Files\Blockland\Base." Select all the files with the name you saved your object with and press "Ctrl" and "C" on your keyboard.

  Create a new folder on your desktop, double-click it, and press "Ctrl" and "V." All the files you selected will be brought into this new folder. Select the folder on your desktop, right-click it, highlight the "Send to..." option, and press "Compressed (zipped) folder".

  Select the zip file you just created and press "Ctrl" and "C" on your keyboard. Then navigate to your Blockland Add-On directory, by default located at "C:\Program Files\Blockland\Add-ons". Press "Ctrl" and "V" to place your zip file into the folder. The file is now a Blockland Add-On, and can be distributed to the Blockland forms or your friends so that they can enjoy the object you created.
