How to Get the Mimes to Tell You Where to Go in the Online Game Poptropica

"Poptropica" is a role playing online game published by the Family Education Network. It is a virtual world style game that encourages children to explore, complete objectives and go on quests. You create your own characters, interact with other players using prescripted dialogue and travel to various islands. Some of the quests are challenging and require some assistance. If you need the mime to tell you where to go on the Counterfeit Island portion of the game, you can encourage him through specific activities.

Instructions

  Visit the clown shop on your way back to the museum office after you've gotten out of jail following the lie detector portion of the island. Talk to the museum guard inside the shop. He'll give you his timecard.

  Travel to the museum and go to the security office. Click on the large computer to the right of the room. You'll automatically use the timecard to pull up security footage. The footage reveals someone approaching a painting in the museum.

  Press the "print screen" button to get a printout of the suspicious man. This is needed to show the mime so he'll tell you where to find the man.

  Talk to the investigator at the museum after printing the picture. She'll advise you to show the photo to people around town. Go back to the clown shop and look around outside.

  Show the security printout to the mime at the door of the clown shop. Once he sees the photo, he'll act like he is playing music. This is his way of telling you that he saw the suspicious man at the Jazz Cafe, which is where you need to go next.
