How to Make a Family in Mabinogi

Get Married

  Find a character in the world of "Mabinogi" with whom you wish to marry. Ensure your characters are permitted to marry. Only characters of opposite gender can marry in "Mabinogi" and while marriages between different races are typically allowed, marriages between elves and giants are not permitted.

  Visit the wedding hall that corresponds to your character's race. Humans must marry in "Emain Macha Cathedra" although they can marry another race in that race's corresponding wedding hall. Giants marry in "Vales" and elves in "Filia."

  Find the "Wedding Helper" and select "Engaged" when presented with three options. The other two options are to receive wedding information or to visit another wedding.

  Pay 5,000 "Gold" to the wedding helper to receive an engagement ring.

  Propose to the other character, or be proposed to, in order to complete the engagement process.

  Pay 25,000 "Gold" to get married on your wedding day.

Purchase Family Emblem

  Enter the "Rath Royal Castle" in the Aliech Kingdom by talking to the entrance guard. If unable to do this, ensure that you have earned one of the required titles such as "Savior of Erinn," "Shadow Hero" or "Dragon Knight" among others.

  Find "Sinead," a human secretary character, in the "Great Hall" on the second floor of the castle.

  Purchase a family emblem from ""Sinead" for 20,000 "Gold."

Build Family

  Find other "Mabinogi" players with whom to adopt into a family.

  Purchase adoption certificates from "Sinead" for 50,000 "Gold" to unlock "Children Slots" on your family tree.

  Adopt the selected players by adding their names to the unlocked "Children Slots" on the family tree.

  Select a custom for your new family to declare. This custom will affect future game-play in various ways.
