How to Get HP Bars in DotA

"Defense of the Ancients," or "DotA," is a custom scenario for the Blizzard computer game "Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos" and its subsequent expansions. With patch 1.22, Blizzard added the ability to activate health bars that display your unit's hit points, or HP. Like most real-time strategy games, the number of hit points your unit has represents the amount of hits it can take before dying. By enabling this feature through the game's options menu, you will always know how much health your unit has.

     Insert the game's disc into your computer's optical drive, and double-click the "Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos" program icon to launch the game.

     Click the "Options" option on the game's main menu.

     Click the "Gameplay" option to open up the "Gameplay Options" menu.

     Place a checkmark next to the "Enable Health Bars" option.

     Click the "OK" button to save the settings. The health bars for your units will be displayed when you launch the "Defense of the Ancients" scenario.
