How to Find the World of Warcraft Sounds Folder

Blizzard created the ̶0;MPQ̶1; file, which houses various data for Blizzard Entertainment games. ̶0;World of Warcraft̶1; stores its sounds in the ̶0;sound.mpq̶1; file. While the ̶0;sound.mpq̶1; file doesn̵7;t have its own folder, it does appear in the game̵7;s directory. The ̶0;sound.mpq̶1; file is not hidden and appears to everyone who has installed ̶0;World of Warcraft̶1; on their computer. Editing the sound files requires you to have an MPQ editor.

     Go to the ̶0;World of Warcraft̶1; directory on your computer. This directory is typically located in ̶0;Program Files̶1; or ̶0;Program Files (x86),̶1; both of which are located on your hard drive.

     Double-click the ̶0;Data̶1; folder at the top of the ̶0;World of Warcraft̶1; files window.

     Access the sound files by opening ̶0;sound.mpq.̶1;
