How to Get a Cell Phone in The Sims 2

Get your "The Sims 2" character a cell phone if you want him to be more accessible. Having a cell phone on hand prevents your character from missing important phone calls -- something was all too common in the first iteration of the game. When your Sim has a cell phone, he can call friends and services from anywhere in the game. After your Sim purchases a cell phone, it is stored in the Sim's inventory for use at any time.

Instructions

  Launch "The Sims 2̶1; on your computer and click on your family's home.

  Click the avatar that belongs to the Sim you want to have a cell phone. The control panel is located in the lower left corner of the screen.

  Click the phone in your home, then click ̶0;Call.̶1; Click ̶0;Taxi̶1; to request a taxi to travel to a community lot. When the taxi arrives, your Sim automatically gets in the vehicle.

  Click ̶0;Shopping Center̶1; in the map of places to travel.

  Click the electronics kiosk at the shopping center. Kiosks are available on each level of the shopping center. All available items for sale will be displayed.

  Click ̶0;Cell Phone̶1;; the price of the phone will be deducted from your account and the phone is added to your Sim's inventory.
