Bid on items late at night. People are less likely to be playing "SeaFight" at that time. You have a better chance at winning an auction because you are bidding against fewer people.
Change your name each time you enter a new bid. Entering a new name each time you bid makes prospective players think that the auction is competitive with multiple bidders constantly raising the bid. This drives away people who do not want to be in a highly competitive auction.
Wait until the last minute of the auction to overbid. Overbidding at the last minute puts opposing bidders in a tough spot because they have a limited amount of time to decide if they should risk a high bid.
Talk to your fellow guild members about strategies for winning auctions. In "SeaFight," guilds are groups of players who band together to help one another advance through the game by sharing advice and money. Guild leaders and veteran guild members can be a valuable source of information on auctions.
Put your guild or alliance tag next to your name after every bid. Putting your guild/alliance tag next to your name keeps your guild or alliance mates from attempting to outbid you.
