How to Stop Captions in Bridge Commander

"Star Trek: Bridge Commander" aims to replicate the experience of commanding a Galaxy-class starship. The game offers a faithful re-creation of the "Star Trek" universe, including characters, ships and alien races. "Star Trek: Bridge Commander" displays captions, or subtitles, that appear at the bottom of the screen when characters speak. If you find these subtitles distracting, you can turn them off in the game's main menu.

     Press the "Escape" key at any time during game play to open the game's main menu.

     Click on the "Configure" option to open the game's configuration menu.

     Click on the check box to the left of the "Subtitles" option. The check box dims to black, indicating that the option is turned off.

     Return to the game by pressing the "Escape" key again.
