How to Change Your Gamertag Color in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

"Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2" is a first-person shooting game released for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. When playing on the PC, you can choose to use the game manager Steam to manage your online experience. Steam offers an integrated anti-piracy and anti-cheat system to enhance the gaming experience, but it also allows you to change your name and gamertag to whatever you want (within acceptable limits) and maintain a friends list. You can also make your gamertag a unique color in order to make it stand out.

     Open Steam and then click the "Friends" tab.

     Click "Change Profile Name."

     Type your user name and insert "^" and then a number before a letter to change its color. You can change a specific letter or letters or modify the entire user name. The colors -- beginning with 1 -- are red, green, yellow, blue, cyan, purple, white, gray and random. For example, if your user name is "AwesomePlayer" and you want to change "Awesome" to cyan and "Player" to purple, you would type "^5Awesome^6Player," without quotes.
