How to Make Leather Armor in WoW

In the game "World of WarCraft," or "WoW," players have the option of learning two primary professions. These professions allow players to craft useful items, weapons, and armor. One such example is leatherworking, a very useful profession for leather-wearing classes such as rogues and druids. Being a leatherworker allows players to create leather and chain mail armor out of the hides of creatures that they kill and skin.

Instructions

  Learn Apprentice Leatherworking by talking to a leatherworking trainer in any major Horde or Alliance town. Your character must be at least at level 5 and it will cost 10 copper.

  Talk to a skinning instructor to learn Apprentice Skinning. These instructors can be found in every major Horde or Alliance town. The same requirements for Apprentice Leatherworking apply to Apprentice Skinning.

  Buy a skinning knife from a nonplayer character vendor or a Gnomish Army Knife from the Auction House. Skinning knives are much cheaper than Gnomish Army Knives, but the Gnomish Army Knives can act as a substitute for tools for many other professions.

  Determine what leather armor you want to make by accessing your leatherworking recipes. You will be able to see how much of a specific leather you need to make the armor you desire.

  Go to the Auction House to buy the leather you need to make the armor, or kill monsters that can be skinned to obtain their leather. Animals, dragons, and Silithids are some examples of monsters that can be skinned for leather.

  Purchase any other items your recipe requires such as thread or dye from a tailor. Access your leatherworking interface, select the armor you want to make, specify how much of it you want to make, and craft your armor. A cast bar will appear as your character makes the leather armor. After your armor is created, it will automatically be put in your inventory. If you do not have enough space, your character will stop crafting the armor.
