How to Get GameShark on a Mac

GameShark is a website that was created for all the video and online game enthusiasts around the world. This site contains game walkthroughs, game trainers, game news and game cheats. Unfortunately, most of the things that the site offers, such as downloads, are available for almost every gaming console and personal computer except for the Apple Macintosh. Even though this inequity exists, you can still use GameShark materials on a Mac.

  Start your web browser and go to the GameShark website. Once the site loads, look for and copy the codes of your desired game or cheat.

  Go to Google or another search engine and type "Visual Boy Advance." This is a free game emulator. Click on any of the download links that appear and download to your computer's hard drive.

  Extract the file by right-clicking the file with your mouse. Open the folder with the extracted files. Run the set-up file after extracting. Allow the software to install.

  Run Visual Boy Advance. Once the Visual Boy Advance is loaded, click "Options," which you can find on the top bar of the Mac screen.

  Look for a link that says, "Add GameShark/Advanced Cheats." Click that and a window that says "Add Cheats" will appear.

  Copy the codes that you copied from the GameShark website, and paste them into the "Add Cheats" window. After pasting all of them, click "OK."

  Go to File, and click "Open ROM." This will allow you to load the game you want to play. When the game starts, you will be able to use the cheat codes.
