How to Get Hit by a Meteor in The Sims

Rock and metal formations may bring your Sim's demise in "The Sims 2" and "The Sims 3: Ambitions." While a meteor shower can topple your Sim in "Ambitions," players may mistake a metallic satellite that kills Sims in "The Sims 2" as a meteor. In "The Sims 2," players can sell satellites for approximately $2,000 in the immediate aftermath of the accident. While the odds of either event happening are low, players can increase the likelihood of sending a Sim to the afterlife through specific actions.

Instructions

Death by Meteor Shower -- Sims 3

  Send a Sim to use the telescope. Stand in an open area, free of buildings or other clutter, to improve the chances of death by meteor shower. Select the ground and choose "Stargaze" or "Watch the Clouds" if the Sim does not have access to a telescope. Allow the Sim to continue the action for a long while.

  Turn on the speakers and listen for a change in music. Grim music accompanies the impending assault of a meteor shower. Players may also notice a shadow covering the immediate area. A dialog box will appear indicating that the Sim does not understand why the sky darkened.

  Allow the Sim to linger in the immediate area if you wish to kill the Sim in a meteor shower. Otherwise, use a bicycle or car to evacuate the Sim from the area. If the meteor shower area covers the Sim's home, you may want to sell all of the Sim's belongings or place them in the Family Storage bin.
Death by Satellite -- Sims 2

  Send a Sim outside. Click on the ground and choose "Stargaze" or "Daydream." Allow the Sim to observe for a while. Eventually, a satellite from space may slam into the Sim. Enter "Buy" mode to sell the satellite after the death.

  Enter cheat codes to kill the Sim by satellite while the Sim stargazes or daydreams outside. Press "Shift," "Ctrl" and "C" simultaneously to open the cheat field in "The Sims 2." Enter "boolprop testingcheatsenabled true" into the field and press "Enter."

  Hold down "Shift" and click on the desired Sim. Pick "Spawn" and then "Rodney's Death Creator," which appears as a tombstone. Click on Rodney's Death Creator and choose "Death by Satellite." Once chosen on Rodney's Death Creator, a Sim earns a guaranteed death.
