How to Hide Tomb Stairs in Sims 3

The computer game "Sims 3" is packed with built-in features including the ability to build and design a tomb. You can use cheats to hide the stairs leading to your tomb. A trigger is used to hide or unhide your stairs when your Sim performs a certain action such as pulling a lever. You do not need to install a special set of stairs to use the feature and you can deactivate it at any time.

Instructions

  Press the "Shift," "Ctrl," "Alt" and "C" keys at the same time on your keyboard to access the cheat screen for "Sims 3." A blank field will appear at the top of the screen.

  Enter "testingcheatsenabled true" in the blank field and press the "Enter" key. Enter "buydebug" in the field and press the "Enter" key.

  Click "Buy Mode" in the control panel in the lower right.

  Click "Lever Torch" and purchase a torch. The torch is used to trigger your hidden stairs. Place the torch in any location on the wall near the stairs.

  Click "Build Mode" in the control panel.

  Press and hold the "Ctrl" and "Shift" keys and click the torch. Release the keys when a menu appears. Click "Enable Lever." The field should change to "Disable Lever."

  Press and hold the "Ctrl" and "Shift" keys and click the tomb stairs. Release the keys when a menu appears.

  Click "Allow Triggers," then select "Activated Behaviors." Click "Hide," then click "Activate."

  Access the menu for the torch and click "Link Triggers." Click "Pull Lever."

  Access the stair's menu again and click "Link Activated Behaviors." Click "Unhide." Click "Live Mode" to go back to playing the game. Click the torch and select "Hide Stairs." Your Sim will pull the torch to hide the stairs.
