How to Reset the Testing Hall in Oblivion

Bethseda Software's "Oblivion" is the fourth game in the "Elder Scrolls" series and, in keeping with the "Elder Scrolls" tradition, is full of secrets. One of those secrets is the Testing Hall, an area originally used by developers to test out weapons, armor, NPCs and monsters. The area is available to players using a cheat code. Unfortunately, the only way to reset the Testing Hall after exploring it is manually, using other cheat codes.

Instructions

  Press the "~" key to open the cheat code text box. The "~" key is normally located above the "Tab" key and you will have to hold down the "Shift" key while pressing the "`" key to type the correct character.

  Type "coc testinghall" into the text box, without the quotation marks, and press "Enter." You will be transported to the Testing Hall. Inside the Testing Hall you will find a Creature Test room, filled with monsters; an NPC test room, filled with NPCs (non-player characters); a town named Hawkhaven; and rooms dedicated to weapon, armor, clothing and house decoration items.

  Open chests to gain access to every item available in the game. Fight monsters to perfect your combat techniques. Practice lock picking on locked doors and chests.

  Replace items that you take by opening the cheat code text box, typing in "player.additem X Y" where "X" is the code for the item and "Y" is the number of items you would like, and pressing "Enter." The item or items will appear in your inventory and can be replaced in the chest you removed the original item from. For example, if you wish to replace the Grand Ring of Sneak, type "player.additem 00092AB5 1" into the text box and press "Enter." You will receive one Grand Ring of Sneak.

  Replace monsters or NPCs that you kill by using the same code detailed in Step 4. For example, if you killed a rat and would like to replace the rat, open the cheat code text box and type "player.additem 00025314 1" and one rat will appear in the game. You can use this method with monsters or NPCs.

  Open the cheat code text box, type "player.coc X" where "X" is the code for a city or location, into the console and press "Enter." You will be teleported out of the Testing Hall and to the city or location you choose. For example, if you type "player.coc AnvilLighthouse" you will be teleported out of the Testing Hall and to the Anvil lighthouse. Note that location codes are case-sensitive.
