How to Delete Mines on Minesweeper

"Minesweeper" is a single-player puzzle game that has been a staple on every Windows operating system since Windows 3.1 was launched. The Minesweeper playing field features a number of squares arranged in a grid, with mines hidden under certain squares. The object of the game is to clear away squares that contain no mine underneath and to mark the squares containing mines. Each game level (beginner, intermediate and advanced) has a different amount of hidden mines. If your skill level is somewhere between beginner (10 mines) and intermediate (40 mines), you can delete a number of mines through a custom setting.

     Launch the Minesweeper game.

     Select the menu titled "Game" at the top of the Minesweeper window.

     Select "Options" from the drop-down menu that appears.

     Choose the button next to "Custom" in the options menu.

     Enter a new playing board width and height into the custom boxes.

   • 6

     Enter the number of mines that you wish to have in your custom playing field.
