G13 Profile Warcraft Alternatives

One way in which serious "World of Warcraft" (WoW) players improve their play is by buying specialized gaming devices, such as Logitech's G13, a device that gives you a joystick and buttons that fits under one hand. If you don't like this design, but still want a performance accessory, there are a number of gaming keyboards you can purchase as an alternative.
  1. SteelSeries Shift "World of Warcraft" Cataclysm Edition Keyset

    • If you are looking for a gaming accessory for "WoW" that is cheaper than Logitech's G13, the SteelSeries Shift "World of Warcraft" Cataclysm Edition Keyset is one of your options. As of July, 2011, its price tag was under $30, and it includes a number of buttons specifically for new game features Blizzard introduced in the "Catacylsm" expansion. The keyboard itself includes Catacylsm artwork as the backdrop to the keys, and a number of macro keys to which you can assign different character actions.

    Razor Lycosa

    • If you are looking for something a little nicer than the SteelShift keyboard for your "WoW" gaming, try Razor's Lycosa gaming keyboard. The keys and palm rest are made from a non-slip material to keep your hands in place while you are playing, and backlit keys offer different illumination options. In addition to keys that can be programmed with macros, it also comes with peripheral ports to plug your USB devices or headphones into the keyboard instead of bending down to your tower. However, at around $80, it is pricier than the SteelShift model.

    Razor Anansi

    • If you feel that your "WoW" gaming experience requires an even more customizable keyboard, Razor's Anansi gaming keyboard gives you even more control than the Lycosa model. In addition to all the features of the Lycosa, the Anansi includes two groups of keys to program with in-game macros. These clusters are located on the left-hand side of the keyboard and below the space bar for thumb use. However, you pay for these additional button clusters, with a price tag of about $100.

    Logitech G19

    • If your issue with the G13 is that it isn't sufficiently technologically advanced for your tastes, then you could consider Logitech's G19 gaming keyboard. This keyboard has a battery of 12 keys that can be programmed with macros and a full color LCD screen at its top to display important in-game information for "WoW." These include items such as your character's health, equipment status and your open bag slots. This premium keyboard costs $200.
