How to Start the Yu-Gi-Oh! Online: Duel Accelerator Game

Spawned from a comic and later television series, the Yu-Gi-Oh trading-card game has enjoyed both longevity and popularity for nearly a decade in the U.S. One of many video game incarnations of the trading-card game, Yu-Gi-Oh Online allows gamers to compete globally via internet connection. After installing the "Duel Accelerator" program, you must complete several basic steps to begin playing with your own game avatar and simulating the dueling experience.

Instructions

  Double click the Yu-Gi-Oh Online icon on your desktop. If the icon is not on your desktop perform a general search of your computer to locate the shortcut.

  Allow updates to install, if they appear. The load screen will check for updates every time the game is activated, provided your computer's internet connection is active. Always allow these updates to proceed, especially the first time you load the game. This ensures your game version is always up-to-date.

  Select "Start Game" from the Main Menu. Enter your User ID and password, when prompted. If you have not already registered, use the link in Resources to obtain your ID and password.

  Select "Create Character." Create a name and choose an optional gender and hair color modifier, when prompted.

  Proceed to the main screen. As soon as character creation is finished, you will enter the game.
