How to Install TSR

"TSR" is the abbreviation for "The Sims Resource" -- a website that hosts modification programs and other downloadable content for The Sims video game franchise. As the website is only available to subscribers, you must register with the website before you can download and install programs. The program that manages all downloaded files from the website is called the "TSR Wizard Manager." You can download and install the program from the TSR website through the Windows installation wizard.

Instructions

  Navigate to the TSR website (thesimsresource.com). Click on the "Subscribe" link on the top right of the screen.

  Follow onscreen prompts to sign up for an account, and agree to the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. The Sims Resource will send you a confirmation email. Click on the link in the email that directs you to a confirmation that The Sims Resource has verified your email address.

  Click on the link in the email verification page to log in to your account with your email address and password.

  Click on the "Downloads" tab on the top menu and click "Programs." Click on "TSR Wizard Manager," click "Download" and save the file to your hard drive.

  Right-click the downloaded file and select "Extract All" to unzip the file. This will create a new folder named "353." Click to open the folder and double-click on the "TSR Wizard Manager" executable file.

  Follow the onscreen installation instructions to select a language, destination folder for the program, and to agree to the Terms of Use. Click "Finish" when you receive confirmation that the installation process is complete.
