How to Kill Dismal Shade in Perfect World

In the massively multiplayer online role-playing game "Perfect World," players must kill the enemy Dismal Shade to complete the "Seal the Dismal Shade" quest successfully. As a reward for doing so, players will receive 3,700 gold and their choice of either the Heavy Helmet of Sinisterness or the Ring of Treacherous Craft. Defeating Dismal Shade will take some preparation, as he is a level 45 monster and requires a squadron of players to take him down.

Instructions

- 1
  Play through "Perfect World" until your character has achieved level 40. The "Seal the Dismal Shade" quest is unavailable until this level.

  Form a squad of five to six other players, making sure that you have a mage, cleric or venomancer to tank Dismal Shade during battle.

  Instruct your squad members to equip armor that is resistant to wood magic, as this is the primary form of damage Dismal Shade will do.

  Speak with the nonplayer character Soldier Feng, located in Angler's Village.

  Accept the "Seal the Dismal Shade" quest from Soldier Feng.

  Lead your squad to the northernmost room of the Secret Passage, where they will encounter Dismal Shade.

  Instruct a mage, cleric or venomancer to initiate the battle with Dismal Shade, as any of these character types will have the strongest defenses against his magic attacks.

  Instruct your squad members to use offensive metal magic moves against Dismal Shade. He takes significantly more damage from metal magic attacks.

  Fight Dismal Shade as a team, making sure that someone is healing members of the squad who are low on health.

  Damage Dismal Shade until he is depleted of health and dies.

  Speak with Soldier Feng to complete the quest, and claim your rewards.
