Leveling Combat
Dungeons with a complexity of Level One are for combat only. You will start with combat items to use in your inventory and can fight monsters like you normally do outside of dungeons. Unlike in the main "RuneScape" world, dying while in a dungeon will not cause you to lose your equipment or items in your inventory.
Cooking and Fishing
Choose dungeons with a Level Two complexity to gain experience points in cooking and fishing, as well as woodcutting and fire-making. At the start of each dungeon, you can trade with a smuggler, who sells basic materials such as a tinderbox for making fires and fishing equipment. Use the skill objects throughout the dungeons and complete bonus skill rooms for extra experience points.
Mining and Smithing
On Level Three complexity, dungeons contain options for leveling your mining, smithing, fletching and rune-crafting skills. You can sell any items you create to the smuggler at the start of each dungeon to gain coins and buy other skill items. You cannot take items you create in dungeons back into the "RuneScape" world.
Highest Complexity Levels
Complexity Levels Four, Five and Six of Dungeoneering provide options for leveling skills that are mostly only available to "RuneScape" members, including farming, herblore, summoning and thieving. Like the other levels, equipment can be found at the start of each dungeon and you cannot bring any items you create back out of the dungeons.
