How to Resurrect a Sim in the Sims 3

Electronic Arts and Maxis designed "The Sims 3" to primarily focus on real-life situations. But science-fiction has also made its way into the core gameplay. For example, Sims can die for any number of reasons as in real life, but it is also possible to resurrect them to the way they were prior to death. Players can only resurrect a dead Sim by feeding her Ambrosia, a meal requiring rare ingredients and masterful cooking.

Instructions

  Obtain life fruit. Only Sims with a gardening skill of seven or greater may plant life fruit seeds. Sims may only receive life fruit seeds if they explore the catacombs of the mausoleum, fish it out of water, or receive them as a reward for being promoted high enough in the science career track.

  Obtain deathfish. Only Sims with a fishing skill of seven or greater may successfully reel in a deathfish. Additionally, Sims may only fish for deathfish within the waters at the local graveyard, and even then, it is a very rare occurrence.

  Obtain the recipe for Ambrosia. Even if you know how to make the meal, your Sim won't unless he reads about it in a cookbook. Travel to any nearby bookstore and purchase the Ambrosia recipe book. Normally, this book costs 12,000 simoleons to purchase, but the price drops to 7,000 simoleons during the occasional bookstore sale. Read the book to actually take in the recipe knowledge once your cooking skill is 10.

  Cook the Ambrosia. Only Sims with a cooking skill of 10 can cook the Ambrosia, since this level is required to even read the recipe. The option appears alongside the other meals you can cook, and you have no limitations regarding the time you cook the Ambrosia. After your Sim prepares it, he will place it on the table.

  Click the icon representing the ghost of the Sim you want to resurrect. Click the Ambrosia and have her eat the meal. As soon as she begins eating, her body form returns and she is resurrected just as she was prior to her death.
