Things You'll Need
Instructions
Level up your barbarian through all three difficulties. You can do achieve the levels with any specialization.
Visit Akara in Act 1 and re-specialize. Spend your points in a way that maximizes the damage of Whirlwind. One method is to spend 20 points on Shout, 20 on Battle Orders, 20 on Whirlwind, 1 in Berserk, 1 in Concentrate, 1 in Leap Attack, 1 in Stun, 1 in Leap, 1 in Bash, 1 in Axe Mastery, 1 in Battle Command and 1 in Howl.
Continue playing and place extra points that you receive in Iron Skin and Natural Resistance.
Find gear that improves your Whirlwind attack. These include Breath of the Dying axe, a Stormshield, Areat's Face, Angelic Wings amulet, Angelic Halo ring, Ravenfrost Ring, an Enigma runeword chest piece, Verdungo's Hearty Cord, Dracul's Grasp and Gore Riders.
Find small charms that add to resists, hit points and damage.
Equip your mercenary. Many whirlwind barbarians use a rogue scout from Act 1. Give her a Faith Runeword bow, Fortitude Runeword armor and a helmet that gives her as many hit points as possible.
Find the Annihlus Charm and Hellfire Torch in Uber Tristram.
