How to Build a Dungeons and Dragons Online Battle Cleric

Battle clerics are a specific build for healers in "Dungeons and Dragons Online." This is no ordinary healer -- it's meant primarily for solo play with occasional group settings. Soloing, or killing enemies and questing by yourself in a MMORPG, is advantageous because you can play immediately without waiting to find a group. In other MMORPGs, you may not be able to do anything useful for your character unless you have a full group in the party.

Instructions

  Spend your 28 ability points on the necessary stats for battle clerics. They need lots of strength and wisdom, but not much dexterity because they can wear plate armor, thus negating the need for mitigation. These characters don't need high intelligence scores. A typical build would be: Strength, 10; Dexterity, 4; Constitution, 2; Intelligence, 0; Wisdom, 10; and Charisma, 2.

  Fight enemies solo by engaging the enemy in melee combat and healing yourself as needed.

  Gear up with items appropriate to your experiences. If you are running out of mana or not healing yourself for enough, focus on obtaining intelligence gear. If you find yourself not dealing enough melee damage, invest in a new weapon and find or buy items that increase your strength.
