Science fiction (sci-fi) is a popular genre of entertainment that encapsulates alternative realities and alternative scientific possibilities. Sci-fi is the basis for many novels, comic books, TV, film and games. Sci-fi computer games are created for different computing systems and personal computer manufacturers including Apple Macintosh (Mac). These games have been developed from original sci-fi material, as is the case with Portal 2 and BioShock, as well as from established entertainment franchises such as "Batman" and "Star Wars."

Portal 2
- Portal 2 is a sci-fi adventure game that combines action game play with spatial physics puzzles. It is set in the fictitious Aperture Science Laboratories, where your character is placed in a portal device that will help to defeat GLaDOS, a power-hungry robot. LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga
- LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga is a family game that guides the player through stories from the "Star Wars" movie franchise. To progress through the game you must engage in combat and solve LEGO-based puzzles to defeat the Dark Side. You may play as various characters, including Luke Skywalker and Han Solo, as well as lesser known characters such as Captain Tarpals, R2-Q5 and Pit Droid. It is the first game that encompasses the entire "Star Wars" story and can be played by one or two players. LEGO Batman
- In LEGO Batman you control Batman and Robin to defend Gotham City against notorious criminals such as The Joker and The Penguin. You can also play as one of 12 villains and commit crimes while avoiding capture. During the game you use the various gadgets, weapons and vehicles seen in the "Batman" movies. You can even create unique devices for each character to help your progress. The game has two scenarios: Story Mode and Freeplay Mode. Story Mode takes you through the game's primary setting, whereas Freeplay Mode lets you complete missions with any of the characters that you have previously unlocked. BioShock
- BioShock combines first-person action with role-playing scenarios and is set in Rapture, an underwater city that has decayed. The game's environment is immersive, and the story takes its inspiration from science and politics. Your character's main aim is to escape from Rapture. To complete the game, you must find weapons and fight enemies that stand in your way, make observations based on your surroundings, determine what happened to the city and plan your escape route.
