Good Night Moon Memory Game
Appropriate for ages 3 and up, this game uses the well-known children’s book as the basis for matching cards by memory. It includes more-advanced versions to challenge older and more-skilled players as well. Each person’s board must be completed for the game to conclude, at which point every player wins. Meant for ages 4 and up, this game requires two to four players. The players travel the game board by taking turns rolling the included die and collecting gifts. The winning player collects seven gifts, remembering the contents of each. (Reference 2)
iplay Diggity Dog Memory Game
Designed for ages 3 and up, this award-winning game encourages exercise of auditory and visual memory. The players take turns pressing the electronic dog in the center of the board, who barks one, two or three times. The player then may move his puppy game piece that number of spaces, remembering how many times the dog barked. If the player’s puppy lands beside a bone, she may pick up the bone with the puppy’s magnetic nose to see if the bone’s underside color matches the puppy. If it does, the player may keep the bone. Melissa & Doug Flip to Win Memory Game
Appropriate for ages 5 and up, this game requires only two players or two teams of players. The game includes one game board and seven differently themed game cards: fruit, shapes, vehicles, numbers, farm, zoo and colors. To begin the game, the players select one of the themed cards and inserts it into the game board slot. The board has doors that cover the pictures on the card. The players take turns opening two doors to see if the pictures behind the doors match. If they do match, the player receives a point, with the highest-scoring player winning.
