Object
Unlike other Clue games, Clue Jr. isn̵7;t about murder. Instead, the object of Clue Jr. is to find a missing child who is hiding in one of the rooms in a mansion. The child is hiding with a pet instead of a murder weapon. The winner is the person who Identifies the room in which the child and the pet are hiding.
Set Up
Each player starts with a pencil and a token to move on the board and assumes the role of one of the characters. Players can add to the fun by talking in funny voices and pretending to be their characters. Players also get a detective sheet to keep track of their clues. The mystery is determined by choosing one of each of the clue cards ( a child card, a pet card, and a room card) and placing it in the top-secret file. The rest of the clue cards should be placed into the slot for each room. Each player starts on their character's starting point. Start game play with the youngest player and go clockwise.
Play
The first player should spin to see how many places he or she can move. Players can choose to move in any direction with the goal of exploring each of the rooms. Once a player lands on a rug outside a room, he or she can look at the clues inside the room and check them off on the detective checklist. There may be a child, a pet, or one of each in each room. Players can move through the secret passages if they land on the correct spaces. If the spinner lands on the magnifying glass, the player can move to any room that doesn̵7;t have another player in it. Game play continues until players cross of all but one option in each category and can guess the correct child, pet, and room.
Winning
The player who correctly guesses the correct child, pet and room wins the game. Players can guess the answers at any time, but if they guess incorrectly they lose the game. The player who is ready to guess should be the one to open the top-secret file. If he or she guesses incorrectly, other players can continue playing until someone guesses right.
