What board game was invented in India?

The board game Chausar is believed to be of Indian origin. It is a game of strategy and chance, played on a board with squares and dice.

While the exact origin is debated, evidence suggests Chausar dates back to ancient India, possibly even before the 6th century BC. It is mentioned in the epic poem Mahabharata and is thought to have been played by the Pandavas and Kauravas.

Other games that are believed to have originated in India include:

* Pachisi: A game of chance and strategy played on a board with squares, similar to Ludo.

* Snakes and Ladders: Another game of chance, played on a board with numbered squares, where players climb ladders and slide down snakes.

* Chaturanga: A predecessor to chess, thought to have originated in India around the 6th century AD.
