In Codenames, each team has a spymaster who gives one-word clues to their team to help them identify their secret agents. The spymaster cannot use the following five words when giving their clue:
* The word on the card itself
* Any words on the other team's cards
* Any words on the assassin card
* The word "blank"
* The word "pass"
This rule makes the game both challenging and entertaining, as players have to think creatively to find ways to describe their cards without breaking the rules.
