What age are kids able to complete a jigsaw puzzle?

There's no single age at which all kids can complete a jigsaw puzzle. It depends on a few factors:

* The child's individual development: Some kids develop fine motor skills and spatial reasoning earlier than others.

* The complexity of the puzzle: A simple 4-piece puzzle is much easier than a 100-piece puzzle.

* The child's interest and motivation: A child who enjoys puzzles will likely be more patient and engaged.

Here's a general guideline:

* 2-3 years old: Simple puzzles with large, chunky pieces (4-6 pieces)

* 4-5 years old: Slightly more complex puzzles (8-12 pieces), with pictures they are familiar with.

* 6-8 years old: More complex puzzles (20-50 pieces), with a variety of shapes and colours.

* 9+ years old: Can handle increasingly challenging puzzles (50+ pieces), even those with intricate designs.

Remember, these are just guidelines. Some kids might be ready for more challenging puzzles at an earlier age, while others might need more time. The key is to start with puzzles that are age-appropriate and gradually increase the difficulty as the child develops.
