Bugs Bunny Preschool Games

Preschool students can relate to Bugs Bunny. Games that are based on Bugs Bunny can help students learn a variety of skills, including hopping, jumping and counting. Bugs Bunny games can also foster group play, fine motor skill development, and listening to directions.
  1. Count the Carrots

    • Divide students into pairs and provide each pair of students with a set of bunny ears. Give each pair of students a bag of construction paper carrots. Let the student who is wearing the bunny ears pull out a handful of carrots. The second student can count them. Then let the second child wear the bunny ears and pull out the carrots. If the children are old enough to write numbers, they can write down how many carrots they count during their turn as carrot counters.

    Bunnied Out

    • Have students sit in a circle. Give one student a stuffed Bugs Bunny rabbit. Tell the students they are going to pass the rabbit to the person next to them while they listen to music. When the music is turned off, the child holding the rabbit moves to the center of the circle. Place coloring pages of carrots in the center of the circle with orange and green crayons. As the children are eliminated, they can color. When there are only five children left in the game, the game is over.

    Rabbit Like

    • Let the students participate in relay races that encourage them to act like a rabbit. Divide the students into teams of four, measure off a finish line and place a bucket of four paper carrots by the line and an empty bucket where the race starts. Children can hop to the finish line, pick up a carrot, and hop back to place it in the empty bucket. Next the children can try hopping to the finish line on their hands and knees similar to a rabbit.

    Rabbit Scavenger Hunt

    • Divide the class into three teams. Give each team a list of items to find. Hide the items around the room, but put a team name on each one so that teams will pick up the item designated for their team. Since some children may not read, it will work best if you provide a picture next to each item on the list. Items can include: bunny ears, a paper carrot, a paper lettuce leaf, a picture of a rabbit, a cotton ball or tail, a rabbit's foot, and a book about rabbits. The first team to find all of the items wins a small prize.
