Lollipop Pinata
You may not be able to find a lollipop pinata in stores, but you can make one yourself for your lollipop party. Blow up a balloon until it's the size you want for the candy part of the lollipop and tie the end. Cut newspapers into 1-inch wide strips. Make a smooth paste out of 2 cups of flour and 1 cup of water. Dip the newspaper strips into the paste and apply them to the balloon. Cover the balloon completely except for a hole in the top. When the newspaper has dried, add two more layers, allowing each layer to dry between applications. Attach a paper towel roll to the bottom of the pinata to be the lollipop stick. Paint your pinata or cover it in crepe paper, making a cover for the candy hole at the top. Fill it with lollipops and other candy treats, and hang it from a tree or other high place during the party. Allow the girls to take turns hitting the pinata until it breaks and sets the candy free.
Lollipop Musical Chairs
Draw lollipops on poster board. Color the lollipops, cut them out and attach them to the backs of kitchen chairs. Set the chairs in a circle with the chair backs together. There should be one chair less than the number of participants. Play Shirley Temple's "Good Ship Lollipop" while the girls march or dance around the circle. When you turn off the music, each girl must find a seat, but there will always be one leftover girl. She sits out the rest of the game. When there is just one girl left, award her with a lollipop. The girls will probably want to play several rounds of lollipop musical chairs.
Lollipop Bean Bag Toss
Draw three lollipops on a large piece of foam core, which you can buy at art supply stores and craft stores. Cut out the centers of the lollipops, making holes large enough for bean bags to easily go through. Make colorful bean bags that match the lollipops. Set up the foam core display, and lay down a piece of tape on the floor to show the girls where to stand. Award prizes to the girls who throw their bean bags through the holes in the foam core.
Karaoke/Pictures
Set up a karaoke station at the party, and give the girls large lollipops to use as microphones. Start with playing "Lollipop" by the Chordettes. Take pictures of the girls while they sing with their lollipop microphones. During the party, let them decorate picture frames with lollipop stickers. After the party, print up the pictures and give them to the girls to put in their lollipop frames.
