How to Make an Animal Bingo Game for Toddlers

Make the bingo cards on the card stock paper. Because each player needs one card to play, make enough cards for each child to use one simultaneously. Use the ruler and pencil to draw a 4-by-4 grid. Make each grid space equal in size -- 2-inch squares, perhaps -- to make the bingo cards a good size for toddlers. After you draw the grid with the ruler and pencil, go over the lines with a colored marker to finish the grid.

Cut out each bingo card around the outer edge.

Place a different animal sticker in each grid space of each card. If you do not have suitable stickers, you could draw animals, cut pictures out of magazines or find royalty-free images on the Internet available for printing. Stick, draw or glue a different animal image in each grid. Make each bingo card different by placing the animals in different grid spaces.

Make a master list of the different animals you drew or placed in the grids to use as you call out their names.

Choose counters or small items for the children to use to place over the grids as they play the game. Colorful buttons would be ideal.

Play the game by calling out the animal names one by one or making the animal noises to announce the animals. After you announce an animal name or make an animal sound, the children must place a button on the corresponding grid space. When children cover an entire line of spaces going vertically or horizontally on their cards, they call out ̶0;bingo.̶1;
