Things You'll Need

  • Magnetic maze games can be fun for preschoolers. They are a great way to develop a preschooler's skills and learn about visual perception. A magnetic maze game is a puzzle for preschoolers to move an object around from start to finish. You can make the maze easy or difficult, dependent on the preschooler. Design the game to make it look exciting.

Instructions

    • 1

Draw a maze on the piece of cardboard with a black marker. Clearly mark the beginning and the end of the maze with the words "start" and "finish."

    • 2

Add stickers around the edge of the maze to make it more interactive and fun for the preschooler.

    • 3

Take the preschooler's favorite toy and securely tape a paper clip to the bottom of the toy. This is what the magnet will be attracted to, allowing the item to move around the maze. Place the toy at the beginning of the maze, marked "start."

    • 4

Ask the preschooler to place the magnet underneath the cardboard where the toy is positioned. The preschooler can then move the magnet and this will maneuver the toy around the maze to the finish line.

    • 5

Test the preschooler further by getting him to complete the full maze and vary its difficulty by drawing a selection of mazes for the preschooler to try.
