Unicorn Mane Relay Race
Divide the players into two teams. Mark a starting line 20 feet from a wall. Hang a picture of a unicorn for each team on the wall. Have all the players line up at the starting line. Give each player a long piece of colored streamer with a piece of tape attached to the end. When you say "Go," the first player in each team line must run to the wall and attach the colored streamer to the unicorn mane. He then runs back to tag the next player in line, who must do the same thing. Each player must hang her streamer on the unicorn's mane. The first team to finish the relay race wins the game.
Unicorn Pass
Have everyone sit in a circle and hand one player a large, plush unicorn. Play music and tell the players to pass the unicorn around the circle. When the music stops, the player holding the unicorn is out of the game. Keep playing the music and eliminating one player each round. The last player in the game wins the plush unicorn.
Unicorn Ring Toss
Draw a unicorn on the side of a cardboard box. Paint or decorate a small, plastic cone with bright-colored construction paper and place the cone on top of the box above the unicorn's head to resemble a horn. Players must stand at a line marked 10 feet away from the box and attempt to toss rings onto the horn. Award small prizes or candy to all players who catch a ring on the unicorn's horn.
Glitter Unicorn Contest
Tell everyone to sit around a table and give each child a small tub of white, pink or purple Play-Doh. Have the players flatten their piece of dough and add two tablespoons of polyester glitter to the dough. Tell the children to work the glitter into their dough and then create a unicorn. Award prizes to the best, funniest and most creative unicorns. Each guest can place her dough in a plastic zipper bag to take home and enjoy.
