Fun Games for Two Girls to Play Inside

When planning a play date for two girls and the weather is inclement, you can create games for the girls to play indoors. Indoor games can prevent boredom and will keep the girls entertained for hours of fun. With these game ideas, a creative imagination and some inexpensive supplies, you have everything you need to pass the time on a rainy day.

Scavenger Hunt
- Present an indoor scavenger hunt using feminine items. Hide small hair accessories, earrings and makeup in a room or group of rooms separate from the master bedroom, where the girls are likely to find these things anyway. Explain to them the game's boundaries to ensure they don't mess with your pearls and other valuable items not intended for the game. Give each girl a plastic bag and tell her to search for the items. The girl who finds the most items wins the game. Alternatively, have one girl hide the items. Set a timer for two minutes and have the other girl search for the items. Each girl must do the same thing. The girl who finds the most items in two minutes wins the game.
Bowling
- Use empty toilet paper or paper towel rolls and socks to play a game of bowling. Stand the rolls up in a pyramid form like bowling pins. Wad up socks into balls the girls can use to try to knock the "pins" down. Mark a line 15 feet from the makeshift pins. Each girl rolls the socks 10 times to try to knock down the pins. The girl who knocks down the most pins in 10 rolls wins the game. Alternatively, the girls can use empty soda bottles in lieu of bowling pins.
Balloon Games
- Give each girl an inflated balloon and have her practice hitting the balloon in the air using only her head. Tell the girls the object of the game is to see who can keep the balloon in the air the longest. Alternatively, tell the girls to keep the balloon in the air -- never dropping it -- using their feet, knees or elbows. The girls can also see who can blow up a balloon and make it pop in the fastest amount of time.
Cotton Ball Games
- Place a bowl of cotton balls on a table. Have one girl sit down at the table with the bowl of cotton balls in front of her and give her a spoon. Blindfold the girl and have the other girl hold an empty bowl on her head. Set a timer for one minute. The sitting girl has one minute to use the spoon to transfer as many cotton balls as she can to the empty bowl. The girl who transfers the most cotton balls wins the game. For another game, line up cups in a straight line down the middle of the table. The girls must stand at the end of the table and try to toss the cotton balls in the cups. The girl who tosses the most cotton balls in the cups wins the game.
