Candy Corn Activities for Kids

Starting at the beginning of October, candy corn candies are available in almost every food store. When planning games for a Halloween or fall party, create a few activities that include the sugary kernel candies that everyone can enjoy. With some creativity and inexpensive supplies, you have all you need to get the party started. Awarding boxes and bags of candy corn to all game winners will encourage everyone to play along.
  1. Candy Corn Trails

    • Use candy corns to make several trails. Make one trail for each player using the candies. Lay the candies on the ground and make a trail leading to a bag or box of candy corn. Each player can follow one trail to win a prize. For another variation, hide several candy corn candies, and give each player a small plastic bag. Players must try to find as many candies as they can. The player who finds the most candy corn candies wins a large bag of candies.

    Candy Corn Toss and Catch

    • Have everyone select a partner, and give each pair a plastic pumpkin pail. One partner holds the pumpkin while the other partner tries to toss candy corn into it. Have the players stand 6 feet apart. When you say "Toss," the players will start tossing candy corn into the plastic pumpkin, one piece at a time. The first team to get 10 candy corn pieces in their pumpkin wins the game.

    Candy Corn Picture Activity

    • For a candy corn picture, print Halloween pictures or give everyone Halloween-themed coloring pages. Give each person a bowl of candy corn candies. Instead of crayons, everyone will glue candy corn pieces to their pictures. They can also use the candy corns to design their own pictures on construction paper or card stock. If you want to award prizes, give prizes to the best, most creative and funniest candy corn pictures.

    Candy Corn Guessing

    • Fill a large glass jar with candy corns. Be sure to count the pieces as you put them in the jar. Give each player a small slip of paper. Tell them to write their name on the slip of paper and their guess as to how many candies they think are in the jar. The player who guesses closest to the correct number of candies wins the game and the jar full of candy corn.
