Walt Disney and Universal Games

Disney and Universal Studios both have theme parks located in Florida and California. These popular travel destinations are enjoyed by children and adults alike. You can create games to play in anticipation of your vacation or while visiting the theme parks.
  1. Park Ride ABCs

    • On a sheet of notebook paper, write each letter of the alphabet on one line. Before the trip, provide your child with a travel book about Disney and Universal Studios in Florida or California. Ask her to flip through the book and try to find a ride in either park that begins with that letter of the alphabet. Add up the number of points, and reward your child with travel dollars to spend on the trip. Award extra points for using the letter more than once, such as "Tower of Terror."

    Memory Game

    • Create your own memory game to play on the way to your vacation destination. Using your computer, print out small images of rides from each of the Disney and Universal parks you will visit. Glue each image on one blank note card. Be sure to make two copies of the same image for the matching game. Turn all of the cards over, and use them to play your own Disney and Universal memory game.

    Theme Park Trivia

    • Create your own scavenger hunt before the trip. Research areas of the park you plan to visit. Write questions that your child can answer while touring the parks. An example might be, "How many windows are on Cinderella's castle?" Type your scavenger hunt questions out on a sheet of paper and give them to your child the morning you visit the theme park. If the child completes the game, award him with a gift from that Disney or Universal theme park gift shop.

    Theme Park Bingo

    • Create your own Disney or Universal bingo cards before you leave for vacation. Print off a bingo grid from your computer and fill in the names of things your child will see at the theme parks. Items might include specific rides such as "Revenge of the Mummy" or a bronze statue of Walt Disney. Provide your child with a special marker to cross off her bingo squares when she sees that item during your vacation.
