Chuck E. Cheese's
Philadelphia has two Chuck E. Cheese's (chuckecheese.com) within the city boundaries. Chuck E. Cheese's are full of indoor fun for children of all ages and activities include video games, simulator rides and smaller rides for younger children. Chuck E. Cheese's have different rooms -- the Toddler Zone, Kiddie Area and the Skills and Games Arcades -- so that different age groups are suitably catered for. The whole family can eat there too, with pizzas, sandwiches and hot dogs all on the menu.
Kix and Giggles
Kix and Giggles (kixandgiggles.com) focuses on providing a large open space and plenty of toys for children to run around in and enjoy. There are no slot machines, video games or bowling games -- the idea is that children are free to run around and enjoy the 2,000 foot area of play space. The play space includes a foam forest, cargo net climbing wall, a play cooking area, musical toys and moon bounces. There is also a designated free play session for special needs children every Wednesday.
Imagination Playzone
There are two Imagination Playzone (patchesplayzone.com) indoor play facilities within easy reach of Philadelphia. The Imagination Playzone in Langhorne is 30 minutes from Philadelphia's city center, and the one in North Wales is 45 minutes away. The indoor play areas' facilities include twisting slides, rope swings, rock walls, karaoke machines, moon bounces, air hockey and Foosball.
Kehler's Kids Fun Factory
Located a half hour drive away from central Philadelphia in Broomall, Kehler's Kids Fun Factory (kehlersgym.com) is an indoor soft playground for children aged between one and 11. Facilities in the indoor playground include tunnels, cargo nets, a big ball pit and a giant spiral slide. There is a separate tots area with soft play activities for younger children. Parents can watch their children from a large observation area.
