How to Put Playing Cards on Bicycle Wheels

Children have added playing cards to the wheels of their bike as both ornaments and noise-making accessories for decades. This can be done with almost any bicycle, is fun for both boys and girls, and appropriate for all ages.

      Even an incomplete deck will work.

      Find an old deck of playing cards that you don't mind getting damaged. Set your bike up so that it's steady and won't fall over as you work with its wheels.

      The fork of the bike frame holds the axle and wheel

      Attach playing cards to the spokes of your bicycle with either clothes pins or tape so that as the wheel spins, the card will hit the frame of the bike. This is what will create the noise. Arrange them on the spokes in a circle, a spiral, or any other design for a decorative appearance.
