For kids who like to play online games, the game "Mabinogi" offers kids the chance to learn about mythology. The difficulty of the game is based on what age range the player picks. Kids create characters and enter into the fantasy world, "Mabinogi." Players will meet gods and goddesses as they complete quests. For every quest they complete, they level up, which brings them one step closer to winning the game. This game is designed for children ages 10 and up and is a single player game.
Kids have to match the gods and goddesses of mythology to one another in the "Flip and Match" game. Kids click on two squares at a time to reveal a god or goddess. If the squares are an identical match, then they score a point. If they do not match, they have to try again. "Flip and Match" is won by matching all of the cards to their pair. At the end of the game, players will get to see their score, as well as how many times they flipped over the cards. This game is a single player game geared toward children of all ages.
Board Games
Games such as "Age of Mythology" and "Mythology" are mythology-based board games for children. The "Age of Mythology" board game involves strategy to create armies that are made up of mythological creatures. Players of this game have to build cities and try to destroy the other players' cities through raids and attacks. The player that does so will be the winner. This game is for two to four players and suitable for ages 10 and up.
To play "Mythology," kids choose a Greek god that will be their character throughout the game. They will then enter a labyrinth based on mythology and have to overcome obstacles such as battling villains and avoiding the ruler of this mythical world, Minotaur. To win this game, players must make it out of the labyrinth. This game is suited for ages eight and up and can be played with two to six players.
