For the Record: '80s and '90s Edition
The music of the 1990s -- and, for good measure, the 1980s -- is the subject of "For the Record: '80s and '90s Edition." Music buffs who remember the sounds of those decades can test their knowledge of that era's music, in such genres as rap, reggae, country, pop, punk, and, of course, Seattle grunge. The game features 600 multiple-choice questions, and can be played with two to four players or with teams.
The 90's Game
Music is only one small part of "The 90's Game," which tests players' knowledge of pop culture, news, events, celebrities and general knowledge from that decade. The game works just was well with individual players as it does with teams, featuring questions in five different categories: music, movies, TV, sports and events. Players can choose the category by moving on the game board, either clockwise or counterclockwise, depending on the roll of a die. Players advance through "year rings," beginning at 1990 until progressing through the decade to 1999 by landing on the "Jump Spaces" position on the board. The first player or team to reach the center of the board via the "Jump Space" from 1999 wins.
Trivial Pursuit -- The 90s Edition
Since its launch in the early 1980s, "Trivial Pursuit" has released numerous special editions, ranging from a "Baby Boomer" edition to this 1990s-themed edition. Geared toward those who were teenagers during the 1990s, the questions in the 90s Edition are grouped in three color-coded categories tied to different periods in the decade. Trivia questions are grouped into such categories as Global Village, The A-List, Breaking News, Retail Therapy, Sound &Vision and Winners &Losers.
Things That Make You Go Hmmm: The '90s Music Party Game
A sequel to the book "Don't Dream It's Over: The '80s Music Party Game," this 1990s-themed paperback contains a trivia party game tests how much you remember about the music of the '90s. Featuring more than one thousand multiple-choice questions, categories run the gamut from grunge to gangsta rap. There are 10 different ways in which the game can be played, with formats such as multiple choice, true or false and excerpts of song lyrics.
