Dream Phone Instructions

The Hasbro Dream Phone is a game for children, where you have to guess which boy is your secret admirer. During the game, the boys in question give you clues which you have to put together in order to guess who it is. If you guess correctly, you win. Occasionally, a surprise caller may call the Dream Phone to give everyone playing the game a free clue via speakerphone. This may happen at any point during gameplay--even while you are in the middle of another call.

Things You'll Need

4 AA batteries
Phillips screwdriver

Instructions

  Remove the battery door from the back of the phone using the Phillips screwdriver. Insert the four AA batteries according to the diagram stamped inside the battery compartment, then replace the battery door. Hit the "New Game" button on the front of the phone; you should hear a loud dial tone.

  Draw a Dream Phone photo card from the stack and dial the number on the card using the Dream Phone. Listen to the clue the boy gives you and write it down. Do not let other players see what you write, and do not accidentally press speaker phone or other players will hear your clue, too.

  Pass the Dream Phone to the next player, who should draw a new Dream Phone photo card and repeat the boy-calling and clue-writing process.

  Continue taking turns and writing clues. Hit the "#" sign when you are ready to guess who your secret admirer is, then dial that boy's phone number. That boy will answer and tell you if you are correct or not. Note that there is only one secret admirer per game, and that secret admirer likes everyone who is playing.
