Games for an Indoor Birthday

When your birthday party gets confined to an indoor area, you may think you have limited options when it comes to party games. Luckily, you can choose from many different party games perfect for playing in an indoor space.
  1. Ha Ha

    • Start your birthday party by playing a simple and silly party game. Gather all of your party guests into a circle. Tell them that they cannot laugh and must remain quiet during the entirety of the game. Pick the first player to go, and tell him to say the word, "Ha" as solemnly as possible. The player next to him on his right has to then say "Ha ha." This process continues through the circle, with players eliminated if they laugh or say something when it's not their turn. The last player standing in the circle wins the game.

    Siamese Gift Wrap

    • Divide the players into pairs, and give each of them a pair of scissors, some wrapping paper, tape and a gift box. Tell each person playing to put one hand behind their backs. When you say "Go," every pair has to work together using the two hands they have available to wrap the gift box before any other pair. To make the game more challenging, give the pairs some ribbon, a bow and a birthday card to place on top of the box after they've wrapped it. The first pair to complete this task wins the game.

    Snatch

    • Place several small items on a table. Gather the players around the table, and pick one person to turn around so that she can no longer see the table. Then, select one person among the other players to take an item of her choosing that she hides behind his back. Turn the first player around and ask her what item got taken and who stole it. Give her several tries to guess the correct answers. After about five tries, the culprit reveals herself and becomes the new guesser. This process continues until all of the players have had a turn playing the guesser.
