Year's End Charades
With a twist on the traditional charades game, this game requires you to use noteworthy events of the past year as the basis for the charades chosen. To begin the game, divide the group of players into two or three teams. Give each group some paper and a pen so that they can write on slips of paper some moments that occurred during the past year. As teenagers can sometimes be wrapped up in the scandals and silly moments of their own lives, you can write down past events that concern your circle of friends. Once every team has written around 10 different ideas, gather up the slips of paper, and put them into three different bowls for the other teams to choose from. The game begins with the first team; a player pulls out a slip of paper, and without talking, has to act out the charade within a set amount of minutes. Each team takes turns performing charades, gaining one point for every correct guess. Once all of the charades have been performed, the team with the most points wins the game.
Guess Whose Resolution
If you have a group of your closest friends coming to your New Year's party, this game is certainly for you. Begin the game by asking your players to write down five of their New Year's resolutions on five slips of paper. Then, gather the slips of paper, and place them in a bowl or hat. Give everyone a piece of paper for writing down guesses. Pull one resolution at a time from the hat or bowl, and let the players guess which resolutions belong to the people in the group. The person who pairs the most resolutions with the correct people wins the game.
Funny Face Contest
To commemorate the time spent together during the party, you can pull out your digital camera, and catch people in the act of making silly faces. Either sneak around the party guerrilla-style, trying to capture a dumb look on a friend's face, or you can sit one person at a time down and tell them to make the silliest face they can. Once you have a funny picture of every single person in the party, gather all of the party members around the computer and give a slideshow of all the looks. Each party member then has to vote on the funniest face--whoever gets the most votes wins the contest, and gets his picture posted on Facebook.
