How to Play High Rollers

High Rollers is a TV game show that aired from 1974 to 1976 and again from 1978 to 1980. Two syndicated shows were also produced, a weekly one from 1975 to 1976 and a daily one from 1987 to 1988. Read on to find out how to play high rollers.

Instructions

    • 1

Answer a question. Two contestants compete against each other. The host reads a question and whoever answers has the option of rolling the dice or passing them to his opponent. When all the numbers are available the player who won the question usually rolls, when there are less numbers they usually pass the dice to their opponents.

    • 2

Roll the dice. There are nine numbers on the board. The contestants get to remove the numbers depending on their roll. If a contestant rolls a 9, they could chose to remove the 9, the 4 and 5, the 8 and 1, the 7 and 2, the 6 and 3, the 6,2 and 1 or any other combination of numbers that equal 9.

    • 3

Get doubles and you are able to remove the numbers that equal the roll and you get an insurance marker. The insurance marker is used when you can't remove any numbers and would have lost the game. With the insurance marker, you are able to roll the dice again.

    • 4

Win the match by winning two out of three games. When a player can't remove any numbers, and doesn't have an insurance marker, the game goes to the opposing player. If a player is able to remove all the numbers from the board then they win.

    • 5

Play the bonus round. Each number is worth $100 and if the player is lucky enough to get all nine numbers off the board, they win $10,000.
