Locations
Spiders inhabit two map locations: Spookane, a spooky region featuring an abandoned castle and a creepy graveyard; and Cutopia, an exceptionally pleasant island containing a pink castle and lush courtyards full of flowers. However, the spiders only pose a problem in Cutopia, forcing you to use some strategy in order to complete a required task.
Function
Your job in Cutopia is to help Lord Daniel enjoy a picnic with his beloved Violet. Unfortunately, three spiders crash the picnic and scare Lord Daniel, who's terrified of the persistent pests. To successfully complete the task, you must find a way to keep the spiders busy, allowing Lord Danielle and Violet enough time to finish their picnic.
Trapping
The spiders can be difficult to lead away from the picnic area, usually returning to scare Lord Daniel time and time again. Enter building mode and constructing fences to trap the spiders proves an effective strategy. Yet you may need to trap one spider at a time, each in an individual pen. Construct three sides of a box structure and chase one of the spiders inside. Now quickly build the remaining side to complete the box and trap the spider. Repeat the same process with the other two spiders to provide Lord Daniel and Violet all the time they need to enjoy their picnic.
Fencing
Another possible tactic involves building a fence around Lord Daniel and Violet. However, this strategy can prove difficult due to the quickness of the spiders, as they can easily slip inside the fence perimeter and enter the picnic site before you have a chance to complete the construction. Even building three fence walls can be enough, letting you focus on guarding just one direction and enabling you to chase away the spiders more easily.
Herding
Herding the spiders away from the picnic area and into specific areas of the map may also prove effective. For instance, you can drive the spiders into the deep water of the tide pool to slow them down and possibly get them stuck. The same tactic works if you can herd the spiders out the palace gate or into tight quarters, like between rocks and shrubs.
