How to Make Game Spinners With a Paper Clip

Many board games require spinners to generate a number showing how many spaces you need to move. If you do not have a spinner, you can create your own using a paper clip. This allows you to make an affordable spinner in a matter of minutes that you can use to play a number of different games.

Instructions

    • 1

Draw a circle on a piece of cardboard. Divide the circle into as many different sections as you'd like by making lines that radiate from the center of the circle to the perimeter.

    • 2

Write a different number in each section with the pen. These numbers should start at 1 and go up in chronological order, filling the total number of sections you have.

    • 3

Draw a dot in the very center of the circle with the pen.

    • 4

Straighten the paper clip out completely. Use your fingers to curl one end of the paper clip so that it makes a small loop.

    • 5

Place the loop over the dot in the center of the circle. Press a metal fastener through the dot so that it secures the loop to the cardboard. Turn the cardboard over and open up the fastener to secure it firmly to the cardboard. The paper clip should spin freely.
