Rush Sykes
An 18-year-old Mitra, or human, Rush Sykes lives on Eulam Island. Rush is an honorable, innocent youth who feels a strong bond with his sister, Irina. So when a mysterious organization kidnaps Irina, Rush sets out to rescue her, relying on his courage and skills as a young swordsman to save the day.
Irina Sykes
Rush's 14-year-old sister, Irina is a positive, upbeat girl who remains strong even during hard times. Irina has always felt a strange power deep inside her, but she never knew its source or true meaning. But when her kidnappers abduct her, Irina begins to suspect her secret power may be greater than she ever imagined.
David Nassau
Despite being just 19 years old, David Nassau rules over the state of Athlum. His calm, cool demeanor belies his age, and he has a deep commitment to improving Athum and to gaining independence from the nation of Celapaleis. Unlike most leaders, David even fights alongside his men on the battlefield, commanding the powerful remnant Gae Bolg during conflicts. David recognizes similar courage and conviction in Rush and agrees to help him in his quest to save Irina.
Emma Honeywell
The matriarch of the Honeywell clan, Emma is a 41-year-old Athlum general, continuing her family's long history of military service to the city-state. A courageous warrior, Emma displays a rigid exterior but holds a soft spot in her heart for David, whom she loves like her own son.
Torgal
Another of Athlum's four generals, Torgal is a 200-year-old Sovani, which is a four-armed race know for its longevity and private nature. Torgal's intelligence and vast experience makes him well respected if somewhat emotionally detached. Others consider him to be the leader of Athlum's four generals.
Pagus
The most vocal of the four generals, Pagus is a 55-year-old Qsiti, which is a small race of beings. Though short in stature, Pagus serves an important role for the generals, using his natural curiosity and thirst for knowledge to gather information, study history and devise winning strategies.
Blocter
Blocter is a 24-year-old Yama, a race of large, ferocious-looking beings. Yet despite his tough appearance, Blocter possesses a kind soul and had dedicated his life to Athlum and its leader, vowing to protect David at all costs. Unfortunately, Blocter's age and inexperience makes him impetuous, and he seldom thinks before acting.
