Color Blocks
A color block game is like a mystery decoder activity and art project in one. Draw a picture on a piece of paper or tear out a sheet from a coloring book. Inside each image that needs to be colored in, write a number. At the bottom of the page make a key, telling the girls what color gos with each number. You can even customize the game so it uses your daughter's favorite colors, like pink or purple.
Crayon Scratch
Girls can start the crayon scratch game by drawing blocks of pastel colors side by side on a piece of paper. Then, the girls color over all the pastel color with a black crayon. Using a safety pin or quarter, the girls can scratch over the black making hearts or stars, revealing the feminine colors under the black.
Online Painting
If your little girl enjoy playing games online, there are a number of ways she can play a painting game on the computer for free. Sites like GirlsGoGames and Gametion (see Resources) offer online paint games where girls can create masterpieces with the click of a mouse. If you have a printer handy, you can print out your daughter's creations and hang them on the wall or the refrigerator.
Figment
A figment drawing calls on your little girl's imagination to complete a picture. Start by make a random squiggle or line on a sheet of paper and give the paper to your daughter. Let her use her imagination to continue the squiggle, turning it into a complete picture. That picture is a figment of her imagination, and she can get as creative as she likes.
