Games for Juniors 10-15 Years Old

When planning games for juniors aged 10 to 15, always keep their interests and hobbies in mind. Preteens and teens can play games at a party or social event to keep them entertained. Awarding the game winners with prizes, such as small electronics and gift cards, will keep the juniors interested in playing the games. With a few supplies, some creativity and some game ideas, you have all you need to get started.
  1. Games with Balloons

    • Have each junior select a partner and give each pair three inflated balloons. When you say "Go," the pairs must pop all three of their balloons. However, they must pop them by placing them between their backs or between their stomachs. The first pair to pop all their balloons wins the game. For another balloon game, divide the juniors into two teams. Give each team an oversized shirt and pants. Have one player on each team put on the oversized clothes. The teams have one minute to stuff as many inflated balloons as they can into their teammates' oversized clothes. The team with the most inflated balloons stuffed in the clothes at the end of one minute wins the game.

    Relay Races

    • Mark a starting line and a run-to line 25 feet from one another. Divide the juniors into two teams. Some ideas for relay races include hopping, skipping, sack races using pillowcases or burlap sacks, bouncing a ball and balancing something on their heads. Each team player must do the same thing from the starting line to the run-to line. The first team that finishes the relay race wins the game.

    Games of Luck

    • Use a roll of raffle tickets for a game of luck. Give each guest two tickets and place the matching tickets in a bowl. After everyone has tickets, draw a few tickets and award prizes to those players. For added fun, hand out some funny prizes, such as a fake snake or CD of classical music. Another game of luck is a circle game. Write numbers on different sheets of paper and place them on the floor. Write the same numbers on small slips of paper and place them in a bowl. Play music and have the juniors walk round the numbers. When the music stops, they must each stand on a number. Draw a number from the bowl and the player standing on that number wins a prize.

    Messy Games

    • Tell the juniors to sit around a table and place a paper plate in front of each player. Put three gummy worms on each plate and cover the worms with whipped cream. When you say "Eat," the first player to find and eat all three gummy worms wins the game. For another messy game, use an unwrapped piece of bubble gum instead of gummy worms. The player must find the piece of gum, chew it up and blow a bubble. The first player to blow a bubble wins the game.
